Dr. Craig W. Baier, O.D.

Dr. Baier was born and raised in Holcomb, KS. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Fort Hays State University in 2003 and his Doctorate in Optometry at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2007. While in Optometry school, Dr. Baier was named Outstanding Fourth Year Student and received the Pheiffer Award For Excellence for his research in the Effects of Omega-3 Fatty Acids on Ocular Blood Flow.

Dr. Baier is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and is currently active in the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus and his church. In 2013 he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow award by the Lions Club for dedicated humanitarian service.
In 2007, Dr. Baier decided to make Newton his forever home and bought this practice. He enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and their five children. He also enjoys yardwork and cheering on a number of Kansas sports teams.
